OpenStage.one as an app: push, calendar subscribe, and more

You can now install OpenStage.one on your home screen like an app – and stay on top of saved series more easily. Here is what is new.

Install as an app

On Android and desktop Chromium you will see a prompt to add OpenStage to your home screen. On iPhone: Share → Add to Home Screen. OpenStage then opens full screen without the browser chrome – like a native app.

Push notifications

In addition to the in-app bell, you can get push updates – for example when dates change on a series you saved, or when OpenStage has platform news.

How to enable it:

1. Install OpenStage (see above – required on iOS for push)
2. Go to Profile → Settings → Notifications and turn on push
3. Allow the browser permission
4. Optionally send a test push to confirm it works

Email notifications remain optional in the same settings.

Calendar subscribe for event series

Rather not miss anything? On an event series page, use the calendar button to download a single date or subscribe to the whole series as an .ics feed – in Google Calendar, Apple Calendar, Outlook, and other apps that support calendar subscriptions.

New and updated dates in the series show up in your calendar automatically.

Polish

• Date overview – series and event pages show the next three dates first; “Show all” expands the rest
• Co-hosts – co-organizers are clearly labeled on event pages
• Invitations – when you accept a co-host invite, it leaves the bell and links straight to the series
